Barb's Biography
Barb is a native daughter of Minnesota- Born at Queens Hospitol in Minneapolis
- Graduated from North High School in Minneapolis
- She hold an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Minnesota in Mortuary Science
- She also holds a Graduate Degree from Bethel Seminary in Theological Studies
Barb's family strengths and values- Barb's grandparents fled Nazi persecution and came to America, however her great-aunt died at Auschwitz
- Bi-racial family-her mother was Jewish and her father was a Black Catholic from North Carolina
- She is a widow of a pasto and former daughter-in-law of the late civil rights leader, Harry Davis Sr.
- Demonstrated ability to overcome personal challenges including being on welfare
- Former business owner
- Mother and grandmother
Barb is a leader with a lengthy resume of social justice, community and religious work.- Barb is an ordained minister
- Founder of Light Foundation Ministries
- Counselor to drug and alcohol addicts and homeless suffering from HIV/AIDS
- Prison Chaplain
- Missionary to Rwanda, Uganda, and the Congo during its Civil War
- Multiple trips to Israel and Jordan
- Volunteer in many organizations to improve opportunities for young people
